My why

I am a grandparent to a beautiful girl named Ella, aka "Bean" and a darling little grandson Lucah, aka Bear.  I am recently retired and besides cuddling and spending time with them, I needed something for me to do.

I have always been creative and dabbled in crochet, knitting, sewing, etc., so I decided to create this shop which target's those precious babies.  What sold me on minky is the idea that it was first created for babies due to it's incredible softness and the fact that it is also washable!  How great can it get! 

My other inspiration came from my youngest daughter, Nicole.  She created the ever so successful Instagram site named, ellabeanies!  Yes, you guessed it, she crochets the most gorgeous beanies for babies to adults.  I started making the faux fur pom poms for her shop and created "MomPomsHandmade", which is also on Instagram and Facebook.  I still make pom poms from faux fur only and have my shop on Instagram and Facebook.

All my minky blankets are made from the softest, most luxurious fabrics I can find.  All the minky is printed using ecologically safe transfer inks that bring beautiful colors that will last a lifetime.  It gives me such pleasure to create cute themed lovies and blankets for your little ones.  I recently added adult throws to my collection.  I figured if babies and toddlers can be pampered than why can't grownups!  I added a "retro camping throw" option as well.  As a member of Sister's on the Fly, who camp all year round, I felt we needed something designed just for us!

Here are the washing and drying instructions for minky:

Wash separately in cool or warm water using a gentle machine cycle.  Machine dry using a low temperature or permanent press setting and remove promptly to avoid wrinkles.
